Jessyca Frederick Doodle Egg

Ceramic Egg

There is a wonderful local organization called Old Town Artisan Studios here in La Quinta, California. Their mission is to provide “positive art experiences for all people despite age, disability, or financial condition.” Given how much I personally benefit from artmaking, I wholeheartedly support this non-profit organization and their outreach initiatives.

One of those delightful initiatives is their annual Eggstravaganza which serves as a primary fundraising event for Old Town Artisan Studios. Artists paint on ceramic eggs (the same size as an XXL egg you’d buy at the store, but made from clay) and donate those little artworks back to the studio. Patrons bid on the eggs as they see fit. Each artist is given two eggs, one is for practice and the other for submission.

This is my first year participating in the event, but I’ll be back. If you’d like to see the egg up for auction (and even bid on it), you’ll find it here. If you’d like to meet me and ask me about my art, I’ll be at the artist and public reception on March 28, 2022.

In the meantime, enjoy my “doodle” style in three dimensions.

  1. Jessyca I want to thank you also, for your support of our mission. As the founder it means so much to have artists understanding of why we do what we do.
